`` Karfas `` beach is the most popular meeting point of people of many nationalities who visit the village every summer. It is situated six kilometers from the port ( 3 km from the airport ), on the south-east side of the island. The beach is completely sandy and the water is shallow for many meters in, which makes it safe for youngsters as well. Water-sports and other kinds of entertainment are available for your entertainment. There also are restaurants in many places in the village with various cuisines that will satisfy even the most demanding taste.
